One thing you can always be sure of is that you can never be sure of things. Or in other words, stuff happens that you couldn’t, can’t imagine at any given time.
This time, unfortunately, what happened is that one of Mrs J’s Masters, Master R, got really really sick and had to go to hospital while Mrs J was away in the North.
When Mrs J got the news she was very sad and cried a river over her poor precious. He remained in hospital for two weeks, while Mr and Mrs J went ahead on their planned boat trip (more about this trip in another post). It was actually kind of lucky that he could stay in hospital because Mrs J would not have felt safe leaving her precious without full time supervision.
Master R is now back home, a bag of skin and bone and very tired. Mrs J knows he will not be staying with the family as long as she had hoped but she’s happy he did come home again, if only for a little while. Hopefully that little while can be stretched for a while longer. Mrs J hopes a lot.
Master C is also happy to have someone back to mess with, even though it took a few days before the rules were established again.
Mrs J wants to write about happy things and will do so over the next days. There’s plenty of material from the last week! But she did feel that this needed to be put on the blog because sad stuff happens to everyone and it’s not because you try to focus on good things that you become immune. You just hope that whatever it is, dealing with it will make you learn and grow.
Update 20 Aug 2011: Unfortunately Master R’s recovery turned out to be much shorter than Mrs J hoped. He finally passed away this morning leaving Mr and Mrs J very sad indeed.
Rest in peace, precious.
