If someone produced statistics on the contents of Mrs J’s camera they would find that about 50% of all her pictures are of Master C and Ms Crazypants. If confronted with this piece of data Mrs J would probably have a number of comments. Including “Who are you and what are you doing with my camera?” and “Man, you have WAY too much time on your hands.”

All that aside, Mrs J thinks most pet owners take a disproportionate number of photos of their pets. It’s really not that strange. To start with, you have to take about 25 photos to get one decent one. They always move just at that moment when you think you have the perfect picture. Apparently it’s a law of nature.

Also, what your pet does is by definition cute to you. Where other people see an ugly drooling dog or a cat just acting like, well, most other cats, you see your buddy.

It follows that watching pictures of other people’s pets is often about as exciting as watching paint dry.

So you may want to look away now.

Sorry.
