Sometimes Mrs J hears things, and remembers them, but has no idea where they came from. This quote is a good example (it may not even be a true quote):
The strategy is only ever valid until first contact with reality.
Here’s another quote:
When the cornfields bow to the wind …
Mrs J invites you to choose your own ending. (Scandos may already know at least a couple …)
Coming down to France, this time, has meant a particular opportunity to practise recreating strategy on the fly. You may call it flexibility, resilience, adaptability or any other word that strikes your fancy. At the core it’s about being happy and making the best of what’s around you. As opposed to fretting about that great plan that just didn’t work out because something, whatever, got in the way.
Mrs J’s mission has been revised to focus on finding inspiration. It’s all around you if you have the time to look. And you should. You can never have too much inspiration!
Mrs J is often most inspired by nature. From the grandiose to the microscopic. Some of you may remember she took some pictures of green fields on a walk last year. The colors were just amazing. Today she also found inspiration in the colors, shapes and textures of the grass.
There was also this palm tree. Mrs J is always inspired by palm trees.
And who can help being excited by an orange tree? With actual oranges.
Amazing.
At least if you’re a scando.

Awareness of your surroundings is the first step to what common people call ‘luck’. You just notice things (where others just sit and sip their wine). You just look to the ground (where others just chatter on). Awareness lets you actively shape serendipity. And that’s also the first step to creativity!
You should take up painting those nature inspirations!
