Anyone who’s ever been jet lagged after a long-haul flight knows that time can be a very tangible force. Mrs J has landed back in Europe so she’s home, physically. Now her brain just has to catch up with the rest of her body.
With time on your mind there’s a whole shedload of great quotes you might use, if you’re into that sort of thing. Here’s Mrs J’s favorite:
Time is all you have.
Mrs J isn’t sure who said it first. It’s one of those things she’s heard and remembered but doesn’t know where from. It might have been a TV soap for all she knows right now. It’s all a bit foggy.
Regardless, it’s a great quote when you think about it. Time may fly, especially when you’re having fun. It does seem to pass more quickly as we get a little older more experienced. If you’re bored waiting for a train, plane or anything else it can creep by. Increment by painful increment.
But contrary to popular belief you always have time. Because time is all you have, really. It’s taking charge of that time that’s difficult. It’s how you decide to spend that time that shows what you really value.
Think about it.
Mrs J is going to bed now. She hopes her brain will be delivered some time during the night.
