Actually, Mrs J’s garden furniture rules are borrowed from a Scando comedian who allegedly designed them to help him change between summer and winter time.
They go like this:
- Summer time – move garden furniture forward into garden and move clock forward
- Winter time – garden furniture goes back into storage and clock moves backward
Not sure if that helps, really. Not sure if it’s meant to, even.
But time is one of Mrs J’s favourite topics. She has been known to wax poetic. She does like her words.
The change of seasons makes time visible. While, true to the mystery of time, it often defies words as well as rules.
Nature is the greatest designer. And as every great Artist Mrs J has ever known she is fickle, unpredictable and true.
According to Mrs J’s garden furniture rules it’s not time to store the garden furniture just yet. Today was nice and warm, perfect hang-out-on-the-balcony weather.
Mrs J is grateful for any extra days of sunshine. She is also grateful for the colours that tell her it’s time to get ready to get that garden furniture put away, soonish.
Never mind those rules.
Mrs J knows better than to argue with the Artist.
