After a few lazy days Mrs J finally got something serious done. She’d like to mention this for the record, since it will not be obvious from the following post. Most of the kind of work we’re talking about, in fact, is so boring it should not be mentioned, and if possible it should be completely forgotten until the day when it actually becomes useful. And that statement does make sense, believe it or not.

Anyway.

Mrs J would like to show you some pictures from the walk she took this weekend.

She went past this lovely field

...and this lovely tableau

...and yet another fantastic view, not done justice by her questionable photographic skills

She was tempted by red cherries (unfortunately well fenced in)

...then waded through a sea of wheat

Actually, the colours of the growing grain were absolutely breathtaking. You can not tell from the pictures. Mrs J needs a better camera, a camera stand and possibly a shot of valium to steady her hand. None of which are likely to be present on the next or any other walk through the countryside.

Stunning colours, but guess you had to be there

Up the road she skipped... (Apparently 'to skip' in italian is 'satellitare'. Go figure.)

... through the woods she sauntered

... past the waterfall she hopped

And while the views were sumptuous, the best part of the walk may still have been the personalities along the way.

I'm actually champagne coloured. Like your cat, you know? Wanna be friends?

You may be smarter, but we're bigger, yo.

It was a perfect walk to make Mrs J remember how close the countryside is here and how much Mrs J loves that.
