Whoohoo! Mrs J is enjoying her week of holiday.
Today, she gave in to an urge for Mexican food. Knowing Mrs J, what does this mean?
That’s right. No risk, no fun!
Here’s what happened, in pictures…
There was a break at this stage as Mrs J rushed to the bathroom to rinse out the limejuice that accidentally squirted into her eye. The things we do for our passions …
Mrs J was really lucky to find perfectly ripe avocados at the shop. If they’re not ripe enough it’s impossible to make good guacamole. These pretty much fell out of their skins.
Mrs J would like to think of her chili today as authentic. Basically it takes your head off. To be eaten with liberal amounts of tomatoes, salad, sour cream (or guacamole) and cheese in a nice and warm tortilla.
Mrs J is happy. She’s not able to speak very well, since tasting the chili has pretty much numbed everything from her tongue to her tonsills. But it was worth it!
