Being born in a country where the only grapes that grow are grapes of snow, Mrs J is still childishly fascinated by vineyards and the seasons in the vines.
We’re now very, very close to harvest where Mrs J lives. In fact, we should have been at harvest if the summer had been a bit better. Oh well.
In the early spring, Mrs J looks at the vines and thinks they’re dead. Or at least very ill. Feeble. No way these things are going to produce any grapes this year.
And then we get this.
She’s amazed every year.
And grateful to be amazed!
Should we have a quiz to guess what type of grapes these are? Bound to be pinot something or other, no? Mrs J’s guess is the last one is Pinot Noir. Top one could be a Riesling? Middle one a Pinot Gris?
Mrs J needs to be educated in this area!
