It rained today, where Mrs J lives. Rain is good. Especially when it comes at the right time. And now is a good time.
Why, you ask? Because Mrs J had a lot to do today, so she was happy not to be seduced by sunshine to sit around and just bask in her luck.
Because it ticked one box off her to-do list all by itself – no need to water the roses or the petunias. What’s left of them.
Also, because Mrs J thinks it’s a good time for rain in the vines. Get the juice flowing in the roots. Then bring on the sunshine later to ripen the grapes. Sounds like an excellent plan, if you’re into wine.
If not, it’s great for the vegetable garden too. Not to mention Mrs J’s herbs are perking up.
Master C and Ms Crazypants aren’t too crazy about the rain. Unsurprising, considering their species. It makes them nervous. As nervous as they get. Which isn’t very nervous, really.
There’s no good time for rain, if you ask them. Or water in general. Unless it’s in a bowl, for drinking.
Mrs J finds the drumming on the roof quite soothing. And it can actually look quite beautiful, seen from a nice dry spot through your window.

nice piccies!
