Believe it or not, even if you don’t have a high-end corporate 9-to-5 job with 5 kids and a 3 hour commute you can still feel stressed.

If that happens, Mrs J suggests you give yourself a mental slap. You probably have time. Time is all you have, right? Your problem isn’t time. It’s focus.

Actually, lack of focus is a more probable cause of stress than lack of time even if you DO have a 9-5 job, 5 kids and a 3 hour commute.

In Mrs J’s limited experience.

Which of course may not be your experience. But hey, this is Mrs J’s Ideas so we’ll just humor her, shall we?

Right now, Mrs J is distracted by logistics. She’s traveling. She’s visiting. Stuff is traveling. Other people are traveling and need to be taken care of. Cars, furniture and flatbeds are swapped, loaded, unloaded. Plans are coordinated, changed and re-coordinated.

None of all this needs Mrs J’s supervision, really. It’s all going to work out just fine without her hovering and thinking and pseudo-coordinating. In fact, it will probably work out better without Mrs J’s scatterbrained interventions. Airhead that she is.

Really, she should just go with it. Let people do their thing. After all, they know what they are doing. They have brains too, apparently. Mrs J should concentrate her brainpower on what she really wants to do and use the time she DOES have to move that forward.

And if she’s stuck in a car for a few days again, why not just relax and read a good book.

By now Mrs J has given herself a mental slap. Again. So let’s see if she learns something, this time.
